Susan Vaughn believes values are the key to success- and she’s ready to bring her values to the Ohio House of Representatives by running to represent the 51st District.
Susan is a lifelong resident of Butler County. She attended Hamilton City Schools and graduated from Ross High School in 1969. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Miami University in 1982, and her master’s in sociology in 1986. Susan was a non-traditional student, balancing raising her two children while attending classes.
Susan has worked at Miami for 33 years, and has been the Director of the Office of Ethics and Student Conflict Resolution since 1996. Susan will use the skills she developed in this position to provide the ethical leadership and integrity Ohioans need in the House of Representatives.
Susan currently lives in Hamilton with her husband, John. Her daughter, Elizabeth, also lives in Hamilton with her husband and children, Gabe and Lily. Susan’s son, Patrick, lives in Los Angeles. She enjoys biking, hiking, and travel.
